Is heartburn associated with heart attacks?



100% No. But sometimes pain in the chest could be mistaken for heartburn when, in fact, is a sign of heart disease. If you have any of the symptoms listed in the box below, call your doctor.

Call your doctor if:

You have trouble swallowing or painful swallowing.

You are vomiting blood.



Your stools are bloody or blackish.



Experience shortness of breath

You feel dizzy or lightheaded.
